2 cups sugar (220 grams)
1 – 3/4 flour (195 grams)
1 – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup cocoa powder( 85 grams)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
1 cup boiling water
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1- Add sugar, flour, baking powder,baking soda and salt in one bowl. Use hand mixer to mix dry ingredients for 20 seconds or less.
2- Beat eggs in separate bowl and than add them in the mixer of dry ingredients.Add cocoa,vegetable oil,vanilla extract and milk in the mixer of dry ingredients.Mix for 10 seconds using hand mixer and than add boiling water. Mix the batter until thick.
3-Bake for 350 Fahrenheit 35 -40 minutes.Insert toothpick to check if its baked .
I have tried this recipe which turned out successfully delicious and perfect for special occasions. Off-course! it cannot be birthday(because YOU ARE MUSLIM and You cannot imitate kuffar traditions) but yes EID DAY or for cute kids at home =).
Tips for baking :
1-Grease 2 pans, with little oil and then sprinkle flour or cocoa to grease it well.
2-Use 9 inch pans.
3- Don’t open the door of oven before 25 minutes of cooking time, because cold air entering into it can ruin the batter.
4-Set oven at 350 Fahrenheit before making the batter.
5-Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes or more.
6-You will use two pans so place them inside the oven, leaving one inch space between them.
7-You batter must be thick to get delicious cake texture and taste.
