3 to 3 ¼ cups all purpose flour
2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
6 Tb sugar
½ tsp salt
2/3 cup whole milk, room temp
2 eggs lightly beaten
6 Tb butter, softened but cool
1-Add Flour,salt,sugar and yeast in a mixing bowl. Just mix it for 3 seconds so that yeast spreads everywhere in the flour.
2-Add milk,eggs and then mix it with hand mixer or chef mixer, until it becomes a soft dough.Whatever you have “Chef mixer is great for mixing dough”.
3-Add one tablespoon of butter in a dough and then mix for about 30 seconds.Than stop the mixer, add again one tablespoon of butter in a dough, for about 30 seconds .Repeat this process until you have added all 6 table spoons of butter in a dough.(Butter is the secret ingredient for soft ,light and tasty doughnuts, Believe me
4-Add a little flour if your dough is still runny after adding 6 table spoons of butter.Your dough must be soft but not sticky.
5-Take plastic wrap and wrap the bowl.Place it to raise, for about 45 minutes.Place it in a warm place(oven) for best results.
6-Cut the shape of doughnuts and then place them again to raise for about 30 minutes in a warm place.
7-Fry them .Turn the sides of donut after 45 seconds. Don’t over fry them. Use any type of icing.I have used chocolate and sugar icing.
